Когато пътешестваш из прекрасните градове на Европа, с техните калдаръмени улички и кокетни тротоарчета, винаги стои дилемата – да си шик или просто да си облечена удобно. Основното за мен при избора на тоалети за дългите разходки са обувките. Нито един чифт не са ми удобни, като изключим 3-4 чифта маратонки на Nike, 2 чифта летни чехли и едни 10 годишни равни обувки, които с любов наричам цървулите, понеже те ме оставят, а аз тях – не. Изминали са десетки хиляди километри заедно с мен, адриатическо море ги залива с вода, леко са разпрани в единия край, но са си пак толкова обичани, колкото когато ги купих и яростно защитавани от заплахите да бъдат изхвърлени.
Но, дълго отплесване беше това. Да се върнем сега на един любим тоалет, който прекрасно се вписа в хубостта на Братислава.
Бял асиметричен топ, отпред изглеждащ леко консервативен с ученическата якичка. Обърнеш ли се, обаче, гърбът е отворен, с авангардна кройка и компенсира строгата линия. Изработен е от памучен долен и прозрачен полиестерен горен слой, които го правят идеален за жегите. И леко въздушен, кара те да се чувстваш като Дисни принцеса при завъртане. Комбинира са идеално с почти всичко в гардероба ми е една от онези модни находки, които не мога да спра да нося on repeat цяло лято.
When it comes to choosing travel attire, there is always the pressing dilemma – to stay chic or to be comfortable. I admire the ability of some women to combine both for achieving an off-duty look that looks both casual and put together, with an effortless feel to it. I can decently manage the clothes, themselves, but desperately need a fairy Godmother ala Cinderella to magically appear and fix my never ending shoe problems. A pair of glass-slippers – may be. But more so comfy ballet flats it will be. I have an extensive collection of low and high end shoes, neatly stacked in their matching boxes at home waiting to be worn. And somehow I never reach for them. They are a small torture and I avoid them as if my life depends on that. There are, of course, a few Nike running shoe pairs that I adore for their fit and comfort, 2 pair of sandals that are somewhat bearable and 1 pair of beaten to death flats that look terrible. Well, to my defense, they are comfy and have been my travel companion for thousands of kilometers. I have been threaten multiple times by both my mom and Kristina that they will disappear to the trash, while I am not looking. And that is about it. So, to sum it up – shoes are not my best friend and thus, the outfits I want to build become more and more challenging.
This one, fitted nicely to the beauty of Bratislava and required just simple flat slip-ons. I love the white, modest at the first glance top. It is double layered, very conservative in the front, but so avant-garde and modern in the back and creates a loose, air feel, while making twirling twice more appealing. I can see that it is not the most picture-friendly piece of clothing, making me look enormous, but well, who cares? In real life it is intelligent, sophisticated and trendy. And goes with 90% of my summer and transitional wardrobe. I call it a great find that will be worn on repeat many more summers to come.
